Day 35, June 28th: Hanoi

Friday. As this would be the last of such, meaning last of the days we are just the two of us with Enni, I decided to let her tell how it works, and what's the agenda. For a big surprise Enni wanted to watch the Oggy and the cockroaches, her new favorite show first. Together with breakfast of course. After that it was a time to go for a swim at the pool. After the swim we came back to take a shower and to dry out. The next selected activity was the lunch at the local restaurant. I was feeling a bit experimental but not "pork balls" much, just some new meat pastry much. From the lunch we continued to the re-unification park playground. There we took once more the ride on the old soviet propellor carousel.

Must.... not... correct... Must... fight... OCD...!

 Ready for the lunch

Everything is good to go captain! Lets sail this ship away, ay?!

After the carousel ride we took a taxi back to the apartment to wait for Laura to arrive from work as she was supposed to get home early. By the time we got to the apartment she let us know that there had been a visit by Mr Murphy and she's be an hour late of the first informed schedule. Still by the time she arrived we were few hours ahead our normal daily schedule so we figured out we'd go for a cup of coffee/Laura's vacation start beers. The City view cafe was suitable for this use because of it's nice view over the Hoan Kiem lake from the 6th floor and the possibility to watch the close by intersection filled by the chaotic traffic.

The chaos... I mean traffic at the intersection area at Hoan Kiem

A short video clip of the chaos. This is actually a slow traffic due to the time of the day. Later in the evening there is no room left on this intersection!

Always as amusing to see a toothbrush and shaver in the toilet of a cafe :D

There! That should fix it! ;)

From the cafe we moved to north to walk through the shopping area in the hope of some souvenirs. After a while we found a store called Kim Lai, selling coffee. They offered us one cup of coffee for testing purposes. We had already been thinking to take some coffee beans back home from Vietnam so we checked the selection and found Kopiluwak from one of the pots. We also took some Weasel coffee and the one we tasted: Chon. These three were all actually the same type of coffees, meaning pre-processed by different kinds of animals. :) We also too yet another bag of Highlands roast coffee.

We prefer... ummm...well, ok, lets make it so then! @Kim Lai

Enni said that she liked the little piggie and wanted a picture of it. I was looking at the duck with mymouth watering...
From the older shopping area we took a taxi to the Vincom towers shopping center we already visited earlier with Enni. Running through the stores for the second time didn't change the fact that there was nothing to buy so we decided to have the dinner next. There was a sushi place right next to the mall so we went into that one. The experience was rather "different" or "interesting", as we first realized that we're about to fly out in the next few days. Secondly the sushi is not cooked after they are produced with bare hands on the table, and thirdly for the cleanliness reasons we found out. Well, at least so far no weird reactions on the stomach area. Lets keep on hoping this state will stay!

The only thing even by far related to Lean was this post on the handrail

The citchen at the MySushi next to the Vincom towers... we ate there still without any problems. So far... knock-knock!

There on the right upper corner of the deep fried potato. It's an Asian hair. It was not mentioned in the list of ingredients...

That was pretty much the end of the day. So only Sat and Sun to go!
